Is my roof suitable for solar panels?

Q: Is my roof suitable for solar panels?

A: Most homes in New Zealand are suitable for solar panels. Ideally, your roof should be north-facing (to get the most sunlight throughout the day), have minimal shading from trees or buildings, and be in good condition. That said, east- or west-facing roofs can also work well depending on your energy needs. During our free site assessment, we’ll check your roof’s direction, angle, shading, and structure to make sure it’s a good fit for solar. If it isn’t, we can discuss other options like ground-mounted systems or solar pergolas.
